The Professional Standard “Healthcare Management” was approved by Order No. 72 of the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated July 1, 2026, “On Amendments and Additions to Order No. 46 of the Minister of Healthcare of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 25, 2024, ‘On Approval of Professional Standards in Healthcare’.”
Staff members of the Department of Healthcare Management at Kazakhstan Medical University “KSPH” made an active contribution to the development of the professional standard. The Professional Standard “Healthcare Management” is an important instrument for strengthening the human resources capacity of the healthcare system. It establishes professional qualification requirements for specialists engaged in public health management, the organization of healthcare programs, the management of healthcare organizations, and the implementation of modern management approaches. The application of the standard contributes to establishing consistent requirements for the professional activities of healthcare managers, improving the education and development of competencies among healthcare organization leaders, and enhancing management effectiveness and the quality of healthcare services.
The participation of Kazakhstan Medical University “KSPH” specialists in the development of the professional standard reflects the University’s contribution to advancing management education, developing professional competencies, and strengthening the management capacity of the healthcare sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
