On October 13–14, 2025, the city of Astana hosted the scientific and practical conference “Healthcare of Kazakhstan: Medicines and Innovative Technologies. Experience and Prospects”, with the participation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, A. Alnazarova.
The event covered several key areas, including the development of medical tourism, pharmaceutical provision, medical technologies, and the Forum “Healthy Cities of Kazakhstan.”
During the “Healthy Cities of Kazakhstan” Forum, Professor of the Department of Healthcare Management, Doctor of Medical Sciences Valikhan Akhmetov, delivered a report on the historical aspect of Almaty’s accession to the global “Healthy Cities” network.
In his presentation, Professor Akhmetov introduced the Methodological Recommendations for the Implementation of the “Healthy Cities and Regions” Project, which serve as a valuable strategic and methodological document aimed at the practical implementation of an intersectoral approach to strengthening public health.
