The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan emphasizes the importance of observing safety protocols when receiving services in medical procedure rooms.

Between 2024 and the first quarter of 2025, the Committee for Medical and Pharmaceutical Control and its regional branches received 7 complaints from citizens regarding the quality of procedural medical services.

Each complaint was followed by unscheduled inspections, which revealed the following violations:

• 4 cases of medical activity conducted without a valid license
• 3 cases of procedures performed by uncertified personnel
• 2 violations related to the storage conditions of medications

As a result of these inspections, the territorial departments of the Committee issued administrative penalties, with total fines exceeding 1 million KZT.

In cases involving fatal outcomes in the Zhambyl region, additional unscheduled inspections were conducted. These revealed gross violations of rules for storing medicines and medical supplies.

The materials related to these incidents have been forwarded to law enforcement authorities for further investigation. One procedural cabinet in the region has officially ceased operations.

As of now, there are 107 procedural cabinets operating in the Zhambyl region, but only 42 of them hold valid licenses to provide pre-medical healthcare services.

According to current legislation, unscheduled inspections can only be conducted in the presence of official citizen complaints, requests from government bodies (akimats, health departments), or orders from law enforcement agencies.

The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan strongly recommends that citizens:

• Seek procedural medical services only from licensed healthcare facilities
• Confirm the validity of licenses and staff qualifications
• Avoid receiving medical procedures at home without proper medical supervision

We urge all citizens to take responsibility for their health and report any violations to the appropriate authorities.
