Vice-Rector of Academic and Scientific Activities, Professor M.A. Kamaliyev, as part of the delegation, took part in the International Conference of the United Health University Network in Southeast Asia (SEAOHUN) on September 18-20 in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The conference was held under the slogan “Unified Health in action”, served as a platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of the successes achieved in the framework of the implementation of the concept of “Unified Health”. The Conference discussed issues of capacity building and institutionalization, health policy, coordination mechanisms, multisectoral cooperation, combating antimicrobial resistance, a joint approach to new and emerging infectious diseases, strengthening laboratory capacity and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The conference is organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) with the support of the integrated U.S. energy company Chevron Corporation.
