The library of the Kazakhstan Medical University “KSPH” is one of the most important divisions of the university, which is a scientific and information institution, a support base of the educational, methodological and scientific process for the training of qualified specialists in the field of healthcare.

The library’s collection is equipped with educational, methodological, scientific, and reference literature. Additional sources of acquisition are books donated by the university faculty and other organizations.

The library operates on the automated library and information system “КАБИС”, which complies with international standards. “Electronic Catalog”, “Readers’ cards” and “Electronic resources” databases are being created, which reflect all scientific and educational literature in the state, Russian and foreign languages.

In order to familiarize undergraduates, doctoral students and the teaching staff with new literature, the library organized a book exhibition called “Рухани жаңғыру” (Rukhani zhangyru). The exhibition presents books translated within the framework of the project “New Humanitarian Knowledge”. 100 best textbooks in the Kazakh language of the program “Рухани жаңғыру” (Course towards the future: modernization of Kazakhstan’s identity) on the initiative of the First President of the country N. Nazarbayev. The translation and publication of these books in the Kazakh language is a significant contribution to the development of Kazakhstan’s higher education and the strengthening of science. More than 300 specialists from among the leading teachers of universities, editors, experienced translators and linguists took part in the work on the translation of the books. Electronic versions of textbooks are available on the Open University of Kazakhstan portal – www.OpenU.kz and on the website www.100kitap.kz

The Ministry of Education and Science, in order to create favorable conditions for the formation of a single scientific and information space, to provide students, researchers of universities and research institutes with electronic resources, provides free centralized access to foreign information resources.

Currently, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, KMU “KSPH” has the access to the electronic resources of Clarivate Analytics (Thomson Reuters), Springerlink. Free access to electronic full-text resources is also provided: Libraries of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National Electronic Library (KazNEL), Libraries of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Committee on Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Adilet, Zan-Zakon, DOAJ, Book.ru, World Digital Library, and others.

	The largest database of annotations and citation information for peer-reviewed scientific literature with built-in bibliometric tools for tracking, analyzing and visualizing data. 	The Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Elbasy is an information and ideological complex of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N. A. Nazarbayev, which performs the functions of a library, archive, museum, analytical, cultural, educational and research center.
	Kazakhstan National Electronic Library (open access) – a collection of electronic copies of books from libraries of Kazakhstan, including: the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty, the Scientific Center of the Eurasian National University named after Gumilyov “Otyrar kitapkhanasy”, regional libraries, university libraries and personally from the authors: famous scientists, writers, public figures.
