We are proud to announce the completion of a unique training course for public health leaders, held from July 1 to July 12, 2024, in Astana.

During the two weeks of intensive training, both online and offline, participants gained unique knowledge and skills necessary for effective management and improvement of public health. Participants were able not only to attend lectures but also to engage in discussions and practical sessions, which allowed them to apply the acquired knowledge in practice. Lectures were delivered by leading experts from around the world: Gulnar Kulkayeva, Valikhan Akhmetov, Moredreck Chibi, Edie Lush, Charlotte Marchandise, Seema Yasmin, Jen Hall, Zoe Fragou, Emilia Aragon de Leon, Nikolai Nigay, Akbota Abildina, Kamalzhan Nadyrov, Anthony Dedieu, and others. The course also provided a platform for experience exchange and professional networking among public health specialists from various countries.

Key achievements of the course:

  • Development of leadership qualities and competencies.
  • Study of modern challenges and methods for addressing them in public health.
  • Combatting health inequalities and social determinants.
  • Implementation of digital technologies and data in public health management.
  • Active community involvement in health improvement processes.

As a result of completing the course, participants will be able to develop and implement effective strategies to improve public health in their countries, contribute to reducing health inequalities and implementing innovations, and become leaders in their organizations and communities.

Our university’s team of facilitators successfully conducted problem-based learning (PBL) sessions for course teams and provided comprehensive support.
