Department of Dermatovenereology

The Department of Dermatovenereology at the Higher School of Public Health is a new center for the development of dermatovenereology science and practice in Kazakhstan.

History and Mission:

The department was founded in 2024 with the goal of training a new generation of highly qualified dermatovenereologists capable of effectively addressing public health challenges in the area of skin and venereal diseases.

The department’s main activities:

* Educational: Training residents in dermatovenereology, advanced training for dermatovenereologists.

* Research:

* Studying the prevalence and characteristics of skin diseases in the region.

* Developing new treatments for psoriasis.

* Studying the effectiveness of new drugs for the treatment of STIs.

* Clinical: Providing consultative, diagnostic, and therapeutic care to patients with dermatological and venereal diseases.

Clinical Facilities:

The department is located on the clinical site of the Almaty Regional Dermatovenereology Dispensary and the City Dermatovenereology Dispensary, providing residents and advanced training students with access to a wide range of patients and modern diagnostic and treatment methods.
