Department of «Anesthesiology and resuscitation, with a course in emergency care»

The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care with an Emergency course was reorganized in 2025 from the course of Anesthesiology-Intensive Care and Transfusiology. The course of “Anesthesiology-Intensive Care Medicine and Transfusiology” began its operation in 2022 at the Department of “Surgical Diseases” of the University.

The department conducts staff training within the framework of the residency, as well as advanced training and certification courses, webinars and trainings on topical issues of anesthesiology, intensive care and intensive care, emergency care, including childhood.

The department is headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor Berdiyarova Gulbanu Sansyzbaevna. Scientific and educational activities at the department are carried out by leading specialists in the field of anesthesiology and intensive care: Professor, MD Dzhumabekov T.A., MD Israilova V.K., MD Adilbaev E. A., experienced doctors of the highest category, MD Aitbayeva A.Sh., Kulimbetova A.A.

The staff of the department is engaged in the development of clinical protocols, research work, the results of which are published in the proceedings of international and national conferences and forums. Monographs, textbooks, and guidelines have been published, which are actively used by both students and practitioners. The staff of the department are members of specialized associations and dissertation councils.

The clinical bases of the department are the Central City Clinical Hospital of Almaty, the Research Institute of Cardiology and Internal Diseases, the Almaty Railway Hospital, the Center for Pediatric Emergency Medical Care and the Children’s City Clinical Hospital No. 2.
