The meeting was opened by the Vice-rector for Academic and Scientific Work, Professor Kamaliyev M.A., who, after brief information about the success of the university as a leader in postgraduate education, introduced the chief academic officer of the Center for Life and Health Sciences of the National Academy of Sciences under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhumabayev Nurdaulet Narbekovich and gave him the floor. The Speaker noted that the development of science is one of the most important directions of state policy. Thanks to the support of the head of state, significant changes have taken place in the field of science in recent years.
As part of the development of the industry, national programs were approved, the necessary resources were allocated, and the main tasks were defined. Salaries of scientists have been increased, measures to support young specialists have been expanded, and funding for science in Kazakhstan has also increased. At the same time, the Academy of Sciences needs to attract scientists who are passionate about their profession and have great scientific potential. The speaker was asked questions, to which full answers were received. N. J. Zhumabayev presented Professor M.A. Kamaliyev with the medal of the National Academy of Sciences “Kanysh Satpayev – 125 years old”.
