Department of Children’s Diseases

The Department of Pediatric Diseases was organized in 2019 (order No. 317/1-n dated December 26, 2019) as a result of the transformation of the structural units of the KMU Higher School of Healthcare and is a subdivision of the Department for Clinical Activities

The main purpose of the department is to organize and conduct educational, educational and methodological work at the level of additional professional education, medical consultative and clinical expert work.

The staff of the department includes employees working on a budgetary and non-budgetary basis, which allows you to optimize the educational process and expand the range of educational services provided.

At the level of additional professional education (advanced training, retraining), educational activities are carried out in all sections of pediatrics: childhood diseases, cardiology, neurology, infectious diseases, gastroenterology, dermatology, pulmonology, etc.

Along with this, the staff of the department conducts trainings, seminars, master classes on adapted international training programs:

ICAT – installed computerized adapted training (IMCI – Integrated Management of Childhood Illness, WHO / UNICEF).
Urgent Care for Children – Pocket Guide, WHO / UNICEF.
Universal – progressive model of patronage for pregnant women and young children, WHO / UNICEF (baseline).
Universal – progressive model of patronage of pregnant women and young children, WHO / UNICEF (extended level)
Breastfeeding, WHO / UNICEF
ECD – Early Childhood Development, WHO / UNICEF.
