Head of the Department of population health and social sciences, Professor Altyn Aringazina, ScD, PhD as invited speaker, section moderator, member of the Scientific Committee, took part in the 7th AHLA International Health Literacy Conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 10-12 November, 2019. Two reports were presented: on the progress of Kazakhstan’s preparation in the inter-country project WHO M-POHL Network along with European countries and on the role of parental literacy in nutrition.
More than 500 participants from 30 countries took part in this international conference in Ho Chi Minh City. She also participated in the General Assembly of the Asian Health Literacy Association, where Kazakhstan is listed as an active member of the Asian Consortium for Health Literacy. As a member of the Scientific Committee, Aringazina A.M. peer-reviewed the abstracts of reports, which were sent for publication through an independent selection.
